Question:

How can i stay true to my alternative self while in college??

ill get to the point, im not mainstream at all. i dont listen to music thats 'in' or dress in preppy clothes and im just 16 but when i get into college i DO NOT want to give up who i am just to be like eveyone else. My question is how do i still be college material yet no give up my identnity?

  2. Sweetie - don't worry about it.

    No one in college is going to try & take your "identity" from you.

    There are plenty of kids in college who don't wear what's in, or don't listen to popular music. TRUST ME.

    Honestly, college is where you're going to meet a ton of alternative, different, non-mainstream people ever. :)

    Everyone is college material.

    However, do know when to dress up - Job interviews, meetings, etc.

    But you can still keep your alt. style. :]

  3. your identity is not what you wear but what you are..you will still be 'you' no matter what clothes you 'think' you have to wear. your personality is what defines you. and if you even make it to college, dont worry about what people think you 'are'. concentrate on what you went to college for in the first place. good luck.
