  1. Ughhh don't smoke weed.

    It's disgusting!

    Just eat chocolate :)

    It makes you happier

And don't think about the bad things in your life

  2. run

    get up earlier

    get more natural sunlight

    do some inspirational meditation

only eat natural food that comes from the ground and not a factory

    There you have it.

Get off the pot too, makes you less paranoid about what's going to happen. I know what it's like.

  3. listen to the bloodhound gang song called "lift your head up high or blow your brains out".  It's a really funny song that's guaranteed to make you laugh.  It might give you a different perspective.

  4. well first u have to find out what is making u like that.

then talk about it witha close friend or someone u really trust.

then u need to decide if u need to get help and go from there.

  5. Cheer up yourself nothing can make u sad. Positive thinking helps u a lot do yoga, keep busy in some work which brings peace of mind and give little time for your mind to think unnecessarily. Hopes, dreams too add flavor in life. keep smiling and spread that everywhere.

  6. Sorry to hear that your depressed.

    Do things that you enjoy.

Get out in the sun, close your eyes and listen to all the noises.

It really helps me. Takes your mind of it all.

Remember to drink lots of water and try to eat healthily.

Find a good book to read. Chill, pop on a dvd, have a snack and snuggle on the couch. :):)

  7. Puff puff pass...No just joking. Get better sleep, eat good food no junk food and be active ..Point is just get your mind off of what ever your depressed about

  8. Well, I'm no therapist.  But I do have my own opinions, and I'm willing to share!  I think the first step is trying to figure out what is making you depressed.  Sometimes that answer is an obvious one, and other times it isn't.  If you can do that though, you're on your way!  Once you figure out why you are depressed, start trying to make decisions/changes in your life to change that situation.  For instance, I was depressed because of my living situation.  I wanted to live with my fiance, but he lived with his family, and let me tell you, they made my life a living h**l.  We didn't have the money to move out for a long time, but once I realized how depressed I really was, I started looking at our options.  I was scared, as we were both young and had never had our own place, but I just started looking for apartments. Whether we could afford it or not, looking made me feel a little better.  All along we were saving, and the more we had saved, the better I felt.  Once we had a moving date and all the money we needed, I felt WAY better.  I could see an end to that period of my life in my near future, and I was able to gather up the strength to get through the rest.  Even after we moved though, I still fought with depressed feelings. But then (and all along really) I leaned on my fiance, talked about how I was feeling, why and so on.  It really helped.  I forced myself to think (even if I couldn't focus) on the positive things about my life, and my future.  If I was having a bad day, I would allow myself to cry and wallow in my own self pity for a limited time only, then I would dig my heels in and get on with my day. I busied myself and really concentrated on not thinking negatively.  Before long, I was really happy.   It did take time, and support from my fiance, but I did it.  And when I say I was depressed, I really mean it.  I was contemplating suicide at my worst point.  But I overcame it, out of the sheer willpower to do so.  I looked at it like this "Those people (meaning his family) have ruled my feelings and life for so long, and I CANNOT and WILL NOT allow them to do it anymore".  It worked for me, and I hope that you can tailor this to your own situation and that it helps you.  Good luck!

  9. I am a psychology major but despite that I'm not a huge fan of medication.

There are two broad types of depression- that which is environmental (yes, this can be caused by M.J. which I know you don't want to hear but I've  been there) and that which is biological- chemical imbalance in the brain.

Now this is where it gets tricky.

You can be depressed for so long from something environmental that it actually changes your brain chemistry and you could have an imbalance that causes you to find the bad in your life so it's not always clear what the real problem is.

Anyone can benefit from counseling. They can help you learn to be happy and give you techniques to lessen your depression. I'll be honest though, if it's purely biological then you will need to be medicated and you will know almost immediately.

In my own experience, I went to doctors and swore up and down that I would not be medicated but no therapy was working. I finally decided to try medication and when I got on the right one it was like night and day. Less than 2 weeks on the drug made me feel 100% normal and this is not an antidepressant- it's an anticonvulsant believe it or not. So I'm not against medication, I just think the world is overmedicated.

Good luck, depression is no fun- I battled it for 11 years but now I take my meds every day and I can't say I've had one depressed day since.

And cut back on the weed! lol. It really does make it harder to be happy when you're not using it.

  10. Anti depressants are the best for long term depression but for you um exercise, sports or go for a run everyday as any physical activity releases endorphins. But you know what else releases endorphins? o****m from masturbation and s*x. But its only temporary and works best for mild depression. Also talking to people and keeping your mind occupied with hobbies. And listening to music as music does heal the soul. I recommend "it dont matter" by Rehab.

  11. find someone thing to give your life meaning. with out meaning you feel depressed. you need something that gives your life purpose but also makes you happy.
