  1. dont think about it focus on yourself and being in character pretend no one is there. or imagine its only ur best friend in the audience or ur parents or someone whoever makes u feel comfortable...sometimes it helps to imagine the audience naked (that never helped me but it helped my friends) i hope it goes well sorry  i dont have anything else good luck break a leg !

  2. Go out there naked. At least then you won't be worrying about your voice.

  3. Right now, go and do something you enjoy and find relaxing to calm to down and get your mind off of it for a bit. Then have a quick run through your song. I always get really nervous before a performance, so I read for a little bit before and it really helps. Just remember, you wouldn't have been cast if the directors didn't think you were up to it, so have confidence in yourself, and most importantly, enjoy it! Best of luck x*x

  4. Great advice from everyone (especially Mezzo!).  Do something you enjoy for a bit that relaxes you (read, play a video game, ...anything!).  Don't focus on the upcoming performance, because at this point you've rehearsed enough that you don't need to 'review' (because at this point you'd just be dwelling).

    I remember 7 years ago I had my first vocal solo.  I'm an actor by trade, and definitely not a singer, but we did a musical review my senior year of high school and in the RENT medley I was playing Roger.  I got to do 'One Song, Glory' and 'Without You' - which is one of the fondest memories I have.  But being my first solos, I was scared too!!  However, once I got onstage and into the moment, and I could see the audience paying such attention to what I was doing - it was completely liberating!

    Don't worry about messing up.  Instead, think of how much attention they'll be paying to you in a good way!  You have the opportunity to move them, to control their emotions - the pinnacle of why we do what we do!!  You'll do great, we're all sure.  Break a leg!

  5. i have been in the business for 7 years and just be yourself and pretend noone is there!! Don't look at the people in the audience look at the back wall and focus on what your doing on stage!! Break a leg!!!!{GOOD LUCK}
