How can i stop bitting my nails

i have ben biting my nails for 14 years i just cont stop. i bite my nails til they hurt or bleed

I tried everything and nothing worked what I did was stopped biting one on each hand.Now after 3 months I am not biting 3 on each hand.

The cheap way? Coat your nails in vaseline. Vaseline is probably the most disgusting tasting lotion ever and will surely stop you from biting your nails. Plus, it makes your hands soft and improves the quality of your nails :)

carry a magnafuying glass with you, when you have the urge to bite them, look at them under the magnafuying glas... they're pretty dirty.... if that dont work, then try the old hot sauce trick

Dip your fingers in vinegar.

That;ll make you stop :)

theres a sally hansen nail polish for nail biters, you put it on, and it tastes horrible when you try and bite your nails, so you stop.

You can buy it at your local chemist/pharmacy

I would paint them, that helped me stop from biting mine. If you paint them, then you'd be chewing/swallowing nail polish and that's icky to me.

well like most of the other ppl said put something on them that will taste bad or burn your mouth when u bit them it will help a lot i use to have the same problem and i havnt bit my nails iin  three years... well good luck

But hot sauce on them, or something you don't like the juice on. Then when you try to bite them, you get that nasty taste. Hope this helps!

Biting your nails is a habit,

and most times habits don't go away too easily.

But I was at Walgreens one day, i saw this nail polish or something you put on, and you cant bite your nails cause it'll taste REALLY bad,

but it was for babies,

so im not that sure.

There is a nail polish out there that tastes disguisting and you put it on to train yourself to stop biting them. I've tried it before and its really gross. I can't remember the name though.
