  1. Just stop. Replace it with something else. Something that won't leave scars. I turned to drugs. When I figured out that would make me age faster, I somehow replaced it all with being abused. Not physically, I just allow everyone I know to walk all over me and I constantly feel inferior.

    It's tough. When you crave pain, it's difficult to satisfy that need with something acceptable. Take up some kind of extreme sport, in which you fall, scrape, beat yourself up.

Of course your not emo in the sense people use it now a days because you cut yourself, but you do have emotional issues, you are using the pain that the cutting brings to replace the pain of something else that is going on in you life. That makes the whole thing seem simplified though, the best thing for you to do is to seek a professionals help so you can start on a road to recovery. Best of Luck.

  5. I used to be a cutter. I quit because I saw how upset and worried it made everyone I cared about. I still had the urge to do it when I got upset but I stuck to my resolution to never harm myself again. It may take lots of willpower but you can do it! Just commit yourself to putting that part of your life behind you. It may help to replace the behavior with something else - every time you get that urge write in a journal or listen to your favorite music really loud, anything. If you can't resolve it on your own maybe try talking to a therapist; its probably a good idea to do that even if you can resolve it on your own. I wish you the best.
