How can i stop feeling so ugly?

Question

me (17) and this guy (18) were kinda having a long distance relationship but we werent actually a couple we were planning on going on a date

this went on for months but recently he stopped talking to me and i couldnt get hold of him so i didnt know whether to wait for him or move on

then i found out that him and his mate is planning on meeting up with some girls they met on holiday even though before he went on holiday he said he was more excited about seeing me than going to spain and he said he isnt interested in other girls there

i spoke to him on the phone after this and he said maybe we could get together in the future but i dont wanna be his back up girlfriend!

now i feel so upset that he chose another girl over me whos about 15 and shes way prettier then me so i feel really ugly and cant stop thinking about them together

I'm sorry but that's life, not every boy you like is going to like you just the same there must of been guys who liked you in the past but you never felt the same about them.

well now you know how they felt all you can do is be nice but say no sorry.

this lad met a nice girl on holiday lets face it you was never his g/f so i really don't know why you feel bad, time to move on

I am really sorry that you are so distressed at the moment but I do think you are not seeing it right.

17 is not a good age for feelings cos hormones are all over the place (I remember it well & I'm years and years older than you!).

From what I can gather he doesn't deserve you. So focus on your strengths and move on. The more you dwell on him the more negative you will become. With very best wishes. UK

Well you don't need to worry. I know it is hard and you don't want to hear it but, there are other boys. and I think that everyone will be the prettiest person to someone sometime, and maybe even though you thought it was him it wasn't. It sounds like he was playing with your mind. Talk to him about it.xxxxx

Well....let me tell you this much, honey....You really shouldn't give this guy a "second" thought, because if he's just concerned about   "looks", he is way toooo shallow & superficial for you. You see, baby, there are MUCH MORE aspects about a person than just an "outward appearance" and I am sure, you have a h**l of a lot more to contribute to a relationship !!!
