  1. you really cant. you also cant disable right click functions either. all you can do is express the rules and violating Yahoo TOS and the result is loss of account/ and membership to the group.

if you find a member is forwarding posts to other area's, consider removing that member.

    Yahoo! Groups Guidelines

    http://groups.yahoo.com/local/guidelines...

    11) You cannot re-post or re-transmit content that belongs to another user without that user's permission. A Groups owner or moderator (or any other user) cannot re-post or re-transmit Groups content to any other site unless the person has the explicit permission of every group member whose content is being re-posted or re-transmitted.

you can add the above exact portion (include the yahoo link however) to a calendar reminder to go out often, daily if you want, to remind members.

  2. Uh, I'm not sure if I understand your question but I am pretty sure there is nothing you could do to stop people from mailing messages to themselves...why would you care if someone did do that though?  Just curious...it's not like it's hard for non-members to join if they want to...

**Edit**Sorry, I thought this was a general yahoo answers question...not about groups so my answer is pretty irrelevant and now I DO understand why you would care:).  I still don't think you can stop them, just maybe post a warning that if people do x,y,z, you will delete them...
