How can i stop my cpu going to 100%?

Cpu is going to 100% while playing a game..the process thats hogging all my speed is a process called svchost.exe i got 10 of them.alot of them appeared when i reformatted my computer more than 3 times...well my question is ..if i format my computer again would it eliminate some of this proccesses

  1. ok, maybe ill mbe rude in answer but... WHY THE h**l DID YOU FORMAT YOUR PC? it doesnt make sense!! you have to know what its doing and how computers work then format it, if it was last choice (where it isnt a choice ) no, just click  "end" process and oh, you have lots of viurses :P  


  2. Some programs that might help are:

    Autoruns - to see what starting.  Turn off unnecessary startup progs & services.

    AlacrityPC, which will turn off all unnecessary processes before starting a game (then turn them back on when your're done).

  3. Svchost is a necessary process.

  4. no formatting again won't get rid of the svchost.exe processes as svchost is a windows process and it can have multiple instances of svchost the actual number depends on what is running.

    what you need to do is find out what's causing svchost to hog system resources first run scans for spyware/adware and viruses check to see if your harddisk needs defragging and also run check disk make sure all your drivers are upto date especially the graphics driver
