How can i stop my isp from knowing what im downloading using torrents?

  2. Your ISP is going to know what your doing all the time because you're doing it through their systems. However, they really don't care. In fact, lots of ISPs in the UK are refusing to 'police' the internet saying it's not their job.

  3. Your ISP does not care what you are downloading.  Some may care about the amount you are downloading (or uploading).

    ISPs contact people about illegal downloads after the ISP has been contacted by a media group alleging your download (or upload) of copyrighted content.  These media groups connect to you on torrents and get your IP address (if the content is protected).

    IP Filter blocklists are used to block "known" anti-P2P groups from connecting to you and seeing your IP address.  PeerGuardian2 is well known for this and most bittorrent clients have a built in IP Filter function.

  4. I am pretty sure that they do not care since thousands of people download files illegally through Bittorent or Limewire.

    I download torrents all the time. My ISP does not care.
