How can i stop my jaw from locking?

There's nothing you can really do about it. I had mild TMD and my jaw would always lock. I would just have to gently unlock it, trying not to cause too much pain to my jaw. This problem went away after like a year for me. You may want to go see your dentist and see if this is severe TMJ or just TMD.

do not open your mouth too wide while eating or yawning. Keep it closed most of the time.

YOu probably grind your teeth when you're asleep. You need a mouth guard. SEarch "mouth guard" from Sleep Right.
