Im planning on getting a rabbit tomorrow and I have some electrical cords like the tv's cord and laptops and 2 more. I don't know how to cover them...i might put them in plastic bags, but people say that rabbits play with plastic bags so that is probably a bad idea. help!! how can i hide or do what ever to the electrical cords so my bunny doesn't chew on it. thanx

  1. Here is a guide on bunnyproofing!

especially wires =) congrats on your new bunny!

  2. Use catnip on the cords. Sounds crazy but it's guaranteed to work!

  3. keep him away from chords

  4. You can buy things to cover the electrical cords.

Cardiogenic shock from chewing electric cords is the most immediate danger to a free-roaming rabbit. Rabbits have an instinct to quickly and casually sever any cord or string. Especially tempting are cords that run across the rabbit's path, or through a burrow-like area, such as under the couch. "Bunny-proofing" means encasing electric cords in heavy-duty plastic, or blocking cords and outlets with furniture so the rabbit cannot reach them. It is the single most important step in preparing an indoor area for a rabbit. (rabbit.org)

If you have too many, you may want to consider just NOT bringing your rabbit into that room.

  5. well i have a rabbit and what i did was when i let him run around i put those cords like on a table or wrap them around a pole you just need to get them to were he cant reach and there will be no worrires!

but you can also go to pet stores and some places have spray that you spray on the cords that rabbits dont like the taste or smell and wont wanna cheww on them totally harmless!
