How can i stop receving e-mails from freecycle?

Try to advertise a garage sale.

I did that but wasn't aware fo some warning or other that came out, and I got the snottiest email from an 'owner' plus a farewell letter.

When you joined you would have emailed the local organiser, who added you. You need to email the organizer again and ask them to remove your addy from the mailing list.

Either block the email from them or alot of times at the end of an email they do have a spot that if you want to unsubscribe to an email then click here it is normally at the bottom.  Good luck I know can be a nusciance.

If you don't want to be a member of the freecycle group any longer, you can unsubscribe very quickly by doing this:

Sign in to the group that you want to leave.

Near top of page, click "Edit Membership".

Scroll down to bottom of screen and click "Leave Group".

You will be asked if you are sure you want to leave the group.  Click on "Leave Group".

You will be instantly unsubscribed from the group at that point.  You might receive a few messages from that group, then no more will be mailed to you.

If you want to remain as a member but do not want to receive emails from the freecycle group,

Sign in to your group.

Toward the top of the screen, click on Edit Membership.

Scroll down to Step 2. Message Delivery.

Click one time in the blank circle in front of No Mail -Web Only - Don't get notified of the latest happenings.  Read messages only on the web.

At the bottom of screen, click on Save Changes.

Do you want to quit the group? Then go to the home page. At the bottom there is an Unsubscribe address. Send an email from the subscribing account, and that should be that.

Or do you just want to stop the emails, and read the posts on the website? You can email the moderators - near the Unsubscribe email there is an "Owners" email, use that. Or go to Edit Membership on your home page, and change to Special Notices.
