  1. Hi There,

I am an image consultant and I feel like I can help with your question.  I believe many people have a misconception about makeup...makeup for the ordinary person usually serves the purpose of hiding blemishes or imperfections.  Makeup can also be used to create illusions and artwork on a face, but that purpose is mainly for models.  For you I assume you are referring to ordinary purposes for makeup.  Being unsatisfied with the condition of your skin is a major factor in the performance of a product you use for your skin and also your confidence.  The skin I believe is an indicator of the condition of your body inside.  If you eat lots of greasy foods behold your face will be greasy, but not everything is an absolute...try drinking lots of water or at least 8 glasses a day and for about two weeks you will see a remarkable result...also if your face tends to get greasy a lot...carry around with you those paper blotchers--if those get too pricey you can always use the toilet sheet covers and cut them up into squares and blotch your face with that--they're the same thing (people just buy them from the beauty products b/c they don't know any better), but now you do so take advantage of that little savings.  So drinking water, carrying around blotch papers (which you use to blotch any oil around your face), and washing your face with a facial oatmeal bar will do the trick!  You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars getting ProActive or some other BS, simple remedies are truly available.  Water, blotching oil, and washing your face with a facial oatmeal soap bar along with some facial moisturizer for people with oily skin will keep your face glowing and radiant and soon you won't even feel like you will need make up to cover your NATURAL glowing skin.  Don't fall for the trap that you NEED makeup for the REST of your life!  That's pure slavery in action, ignorance is a major factor why so many people fall into that trap.  Makeup makes women feel fake and insecure, keep a natural approach to solving your problems and you will never have to feel like you are dependant on a product to keep you looking beautiful, because its not the product that makes you beautiful its being natural and healthy.  Also, a tan does wonders for skin complexions.  Try using an oil-free facial tanning moisturizer, that will do you wonders!  Keeping you face oil free and moistened will keep your skin beautiful, and water will keep your skin cells new and healthy.  *When you wash your face don't just apply the oatmeal bar to your face and rinse, you HAVE to scrub those DEAD skin cells off!  Now don't go rubbing your face off, try using a face scrub or a loofa or a wash cloth rather than just using your hands to scrub.  Good luck on your journey for clean and clear skin, and remember beauty is natural and REAL not made up.

  2. I feel you pain- I have pretty bad acne myself. I highly doubt anyone will laugh at you if you're walking down the street without makeup unless you're in snobville.

I can appreciate that you feel like you need to use a bit of coverage right now.

I don't think its a big deal if you're wearing a little bit of mineral powder to cover your acne. Certainly you're not wearing stage makeup, and you're wearing it for a reason. You really shouldn't worry that much about it.  Mineral powder looks very natural, so you don't have to worry about looking like a clown.

  3. I hate it when my skin acts up . . . You made a great choice with the mineral make up. It covers really well and sits on top of your skin, not clogging your pores. Also it's very easy to come off when washing you face.

To your second question, I would never laugh at someone with ANY condition. Just keep in mind that this skin situation is temporary and that you are still that beautiful girl no matter what.

  4. go to your dermatologist & try to get some medication.

make up only causes more blemishes

  5. mineral makeup is fine to use. get some facial cleanser for sensitive skin, that should help. try starting a very meticulous face regime. if i see someone who has bad skin i dont really notice. i mean i notice, but it doesnt really phase me. like i dont think too much of it. you are your own worse critic.

  6. If I saw someone on the street with ''terrible red blotchy skin''

I wouldn't laugh, because there's nothing funny about it.

You can stop relying on your make-up by using

an exfoliator everyday, twice a day followed by toner

and Adult Acnomel every night. Make-up over your zits

increases the current acne growing on your face.

Just take a break from the make-up.
