How can i stop that small box with ads under the personal assistant box(on yahoo's main page)?

i always see that bax there and it gets on my nerves

On Yahoo's main page you are not likely to get rid of ads. That is one of the ways they make money. You can change colors and width of the layout. Set up My Yahoo, you can set up modules you like and even customize the personal assistant with different modules. Then just use the My Yahoo to goto instead of the main page. I am sure there are programs that can get  rid  of some ads, but those are usually more trouble than they are worth.
