I'm from the UK, but moving in July to San Francisco. As I will have to support myself financially (ie. have a job...), I won't be able to go back to school. As I am only 16, I need to study for 2 more years until I have sufficient qualifications and grades to get into universities or colleges. If i was staying in England I would study for my A levels, but as I'll be in the US, what should I do? Is there any way to home study to achieve them?

  1. How are you moving to the U.S. and on which visa?

  2. I'd say if you come from the UK, you have a more solid educational background.  You could sign up for home school courses.  I don't know how affordable those courses are.  You could google them and check them out.  Otherwise, if you are disciplined, you could buy textbooks equivalent to your class/subject level.  I'd suggest studying main subjects like Math, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, English.  Focus in areas that you plan to study in college.  Hiring a tutor is another option.  Hope this helps and good luck!
