How can i take a slow motion film with my ordinary camcorder?

  1. You can't. You need a special high-speed recorder that costs several thousands of dollars.


  2. Well, one thing you can do is record footage at normal speed and slow it down digitally in Windows Movie Maker using the "Slow" option in the special effects pallet. You can add as many as you want to the video depending on how much you would like to slow it down. This effect can also be achieved in After Effects, if done in After Effects the slow motion will be a lot smoother in your video. This can be done by using the Time Remapping option in After Effects.  

  3. You can slow it down.....but there are not enough frames to make it smooth and it will be choppy as h**l....like that scene from star wars: empire strikes back when luke confronts vader on dagobah inside the old tree..

    You need a high speed camera. If you an get a 60i camera, then you can de-interlace it to 60 frames a seconds.....

    True high speed cameras use high powered ccds, fiberoptics, and maybe nitrogen cooling..
