  1. it obviously doesn't trust u..

do u guys take him out of the cage a LOT?...

a bird needs to be taken out or it will get depressed.

but first of all u need to get him to trust u.. start out slowly by puttin ur hand in there and just leaving it.. or try holding veggies in ur hand for him to get used to it...

    GOOD LUCK!

  3. Wow, one year....It might be hard to tame! I had one bird for seven years. And I started taming him around...six years old? And usually it's not easy to tame older birds, but it worked!

First start in the bathroom, and make sure you've closed off or plugged up all dangerous areas (e.g. bathroom, sink, shower, tub, etc.) It also helps if you block any windows, although I didn't. My bird used to be really scared, but I guess he was more scared of the bathroom, having never seen it, and after flying around a while, he got tired. When I stuck my finger out for him, he finally gave in and stepped on. Afterwards, I would take him out pretty often and train him to trust me. In the end, he wasn't scared at all, and it became routine for him to just step onto my finger.

However, if you try this, don't take the other bird out! Keep it in the cage! I had the same scenario. One of my birds was EXTREMELY vicious. When the two birds were taken out together, it was impossible to tame one. So, just take one out.

    Hope that helps! :D
