  1. Hmmmmm barking myself till they do? Don`t know about that one, lol.

what i would do is try to get my dog excited enough where he/she will bark and cheerfully say "Good Speak" praising him/her up and rewarding with a treat.

Anytime your dog barks say "Good Speak"

Enough repetition of this and your dog should catch on and obey the command when given to it.

Now that you have opened a can of worms that you may not be able to close you also need to teach your dog the command "Quiet" or your dog may constantly bark for attention or a treat.

Just remember that when you command "quiet" don`t yell it, be calm or your dog will think your barking along with it.

    Good luck and God bless

Just remember to keep it fun, don`t overdue, or force it.

  2. good luck trying to do that

  3. say speak and then do a bark. keep doing that until your dog does it then give him/her a treat. keep doing this until your dog knows what he/she has to do when you say speak :D

    ADD:

haha me an Alice rox both know how :D

  4. Step1

Hold the treats in one hand and let your dog know that you have them (though it's unlikely that she doesn't), but keep them out of her reach.

    Step2

Say "speak" to the dog in an excited but commanding voice. Your dog should be dividing his attention between your word and the treats he knows you're keeping from him. Watch as he tries to figure out what you want him to do; you'll practically see the wheels turning in his head.

    Step3

Repeat the word "speak" until your dog makes any sort of vocal noise-- a snort, cry or howl. Praise her immediately and give her one of the treats. The dog will probably go through all of her known tricks before she gets it, so be patient as she tries sitting, lying down or rolling over.

    Step4

Practice the command for 15 minutes. The objective is to try to frustrate the dog enough that he barks. When he does, and you jump in with the treats and praise, he'll understand. Soon enough, he'll respond with a real bark.

this was how I trained my puppy to speak. you can try to figure out something that makes your dog bark. when he bark, say speak, then give him a treat. eventually he will get that speak means to bark. hope this helps.
