How can i teach my hamster to behave at night?

when were about to sleep, my hamsters are awake and making more noise so, we can't sleep well at night and my parent's are getting sleepless... what should i do? please help...i'm from philippines

Hampsters are naturally nocturnal, which means they are awake all night.  Put the hampster in the garage or bathroom far from your home's sleeping area.

there is nothing you can do you should have done the research on hamsters before you bought one. it is almost impossible to change their sleeping habits the only thing you could do is move the box

I finally had enough of my hamster being loud at night and got her a 10 gallon aquarium and it has cut WAY back on the noise.  I got the aquarium at wal-mart for $10.97 and it's plenty of room for a water bottle, only about $2 and her food dish, wheel and hut.  I don't have a lid yet because wal mart didn't have those but it's been several days and so far she hasn't been able to get out.  She would have to jump awful high to get out as it is.  The only noise I hear now is if she starts pushing around her hut or bowl.  I hope this helped.

Hamsters are nocturnal, which means they sleep a lot during the day and awake during the night. It is natural, which means that there is nothing you can do about it. Sorry!

i have a syrian hamster and he does make noise at night, but i still fall sleep! (I'm a heavy sleeper!) i don't think you can do anything about that!

You can't change that.

Try putting the hamster in the garage at night, or in a closet.

You cant change that.Hamsters are nocturnal therefor they will stay up almost all night.If u want to reduce the noise,put a towel over the cage and put the cage as far as possible from your parents and/or you.Hope i helped and good luck!

There isn't much you can do.  Hamsters are nocturnal so they are up all night.  Take anything noisy like a wheel out of its cage.  Can you put your hamster in another part of the house at night where you won't hear it?  I know.  I can be frustrating.  My hamster bangs on her water bottle at night and it's so annoying.  I put her in the basement.

Probably not.  Hamsters and many other small caged 4 footed creatures are nocturnal. You might try putting his cage in the other part of the house so that you do not hear his rummaging!
