How can i teach my self to do a back hand spring?

i have no idea how to do a back hand spring and i have a fear of going backwards. how can i teach myself to do a back hand spring? Or if its not possible wat wood be some tips to get over my fear?

  1. Have someone 'spot' you. Make sure you ask someone who has spotted before to spot you. Spotting is when someone holds there arms out behind you and sort of helps you over. Anyone can do a backhandspring with a spotter. Each time tell the spotter to let less go of you a little. Until you can do it by yourself. Best ways to get over your fear ; do it on a trampoline, do it in a pool.


  2. foam pits are always fun. I do not know if there is such a gym available to you but some gymnastic places have so much space and equipment where you can really test your limits in gravity. if you do find a foam pit it might help overcome your fear because you can land in pretty much any position and be fine. obviously people in that kind of gym would be able to help you out too
