JUST BE NAUGHTY WITH HIM AND AFTER THE GAME ASK HIM TO PAY SOMETIMES IN STUDY.  DO NOT FORCE HIM ALL THE TIME TO STUDY.  A NAUGHTY BOY HAS SHARP MIND.

Whatever you are trying to teach him, make it fun and interesting.  A childs attention span is not that long and they are easily distracted.  You have to keep his interest in the subject.

Do you mean naughty?  You aren't trying to teach spelling are you??  Sorry, couldn't resist.  I also assume you're talking about a preschool age child since that's where you posted the question.

Try rewards and getting him to buy into learning.  Incorporate learning into what he wants to do- if he wants to throw things, get him to count the number of things he throws or the color or something similar.  Typically there will be times where he is calmer- teach him then.  Try and see things through his eyes-- he most likely has a favorite toy- use that to teach with.  My son is 3 and he's very energetic (kids are not generally naughty- the behavior may be, not the child) and he LOVES Thomas the Tank Engine- so we use that for colors, shapes, letters, everything, and he's learning very well-- from there he wanted to learn about other things-- relate it first to something he likes!  Good Luck
