How can i teach myself to do a backflip and/or headstand?

I have no idea. Some people never figure out how. If it is any consolation, I can't do them either, and I have had many people try to teach me. All I have managed to do is look stupid. It was fun trying,though.

Headstands are painful... you need a really strong neck for it.  Backflips... that takes years of practise.  I can't do one, but I'm fairly decent at doing a headstand (with my hands helping).
