if you go to you tube and type in popping a ball python it shows you how but i wouldn't recommend you doing it if your not a experienced herp handler..... but it is interesting to see how its done! you can also get it probed by your vet,,, hope this helps!

probing, popping and tail shape, you can get him/her probed vet or you could ask someone to pop him.her, there are instructions for this at www.cornsnake.co.uk but i would only recomend someone who knows what they are doing, doing it.

you need to get it probed, but not right away, i just got one and he/she is about 9 weeks old, and her organs are not all the way developed, and if you probe him/her too soon it could poke one of the organs and it could burst and she might internally bleed to death, so i have to wait a while.  it is this thing that the vet does, and they stick the probing stick up the snakes cloaca and then the results will come telling you if it is a boy or a girl.  mine is still to young and i need to bring her/him to the vet soon because i want to find out.  but just ask yur vet and they will tell you how old he/she was to be to get probed and don't worry it doesn't hurt them one bit.

By the length of their tails is a good way to s*x them. a females tail is shorter and tapers off quickly. a males tail is longer and gradually tapers off. But the best way is to take it to your vet and have it probed.
