  1. only an experienced person (like a breeder or vet) Can detect the puppies after 20 days. You Dog may also be showing a false pregnancy. Has she mated recently? To show a pregnancy or a false pregnancy your dog my be collecting toys and putting them where she sleeps. Feel her abdomen for anything abnormal. Feel for lumps, do this every week. If you start feeling lumps take her to the vet. Good luck

  2. There really isn't any thing except the typical getting heavier.

If she is preg she needs to be checked now. chis are often a breed that needs ot have a c-section esp not knowing what she was bred with. My vet charges $750 for a c-section and if it's after hours there is an additional $250 on top of that.

A complicated preg or pups to big for mom to deliver can kill mom, pups or all.

She needs ot see a vet and have an x-ray or sonogram done to be sure, palpating is not very good.

PLEASE GET HER TO THE VETS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

  3. Well first has she been exposed to a male dog in the past 60 days?  That is the gestation time for dogs.

  4. It's essential you go to the vet to increase your chances of a safe pregnancy. Your dog might not be pregnant, just has false pregnancy:http://vetmedicine.about.com/gi/dynamic/...

Either way, you should talk to your vet.

Please get her spayed as soon as possible.

  5. You can try to feel her belly. It's not a for sure way, but if she is pregnant it should feel like a hard ball inside. The best way to do this is by placing one hand on each side. Do this first thing in the morning, before she has eaten anything. If it were just that she was getting a little porky, it would be squishy. The symtoms you describe definitely sound like something hormonal. It is a possibility that she is in heat and just happens to be in heat.

  6. Looks to see if her nipples are getting larger. Is is just her stomach that is getting bigger or is her neck fatter too? If it is just her stomach then it is a good chance she is pregnant.

  7. Only the vet can tell you for sure.

  8. You are definitely going to have to have the vet test her to be sure. The biggest problem here is if you don't know what size dog got her pregnant. If the male was larger than her, the pregnancy itself may kill her, if she survives the pregnancy, she more than likely will need a c-section which costs a lot! If she is indeed pregnant, it might be much safer for her for an abort/spay to be done.
