i have a hp pavilion dv5 laptop and when i try to burn cds on itunes i put the cds in and click burn in the bottom corner and it says disk recording not found. and when i start up itunes i get a message saying itunes was not properly installed. if you wish to import or burn cds you need to reinstall itunes. and ive reinstalled it and nothing happened. i dont know if i can even burn cds on my computer or if i need to download something or buy a burning program, or if something is just wrong with my itunes.

any help is greatly appreciated thanks

  1. click on start

    click on control panel

    click on system

    click the devices tab

    click on device manager

then look at the drop down with CD-ROM or CD-DVD

and see if it says CD-RW

which means you can "Re Write" on other CD's

  2. iTunes should be the software you can use to burn it. I think you might not have a CD Burner. Go to My Computer and look at the name of your CD drive. if its CD-RW then you should be able to burn your CD. If it doesnt have the RW, then you dont have a CD burner
