How can i tell if my hamsters cut is infected?

what will it look like? plz put a link for a pic of a infected hamster cut. i dont have a picture of it. plz help!!! i couldnt find anything on the computer about what it looks like

  1. You can tell alot by looking at it, if it looks okay then it may well be okay. If it looks swollen, sore, red, scabby etc the maybe take your hamster to the vet. But dont forget hamsters survive fine in the wild and probably get cuts all the time and are able to keep them clean.


  2. Any infected cut will look red and puffy and sore. If it is p***y or otherwise crusted that may show infection too. Hydrogen peroxide is a good cheap antiseptic and it can't hurt to use it to clean up your hamster's cut.

    I'm sorry, but I am not going to go looking for a link to an infected hamster cut.
