How can i tell if my husband has tap my home phone?

i have reason to believe that my husband is some how tapping my conversation. how can i tell? also what to look for around the house

You may have given him a good reason for doing so. But why not ask him? He's your husband for crying out loud and you're both playing detective inside the house?!

Look for a scanner, some scanners can pick up cell or cordless phones.

Extra clicks, buzzing, delays in response from the caller when you answer, these could all indicate something is attached to your phone.  On the other hand it is illegal to tap a phone without legal authorization.  Now if you just figure he has a recorder connected to the line somewhere in the house, trace all the phone connections back to where they come into the house and look for odd connections.  Big question is what do you have to hid that you would fear him finding out?

ask him, and if your conversations are that sacred and your being untrustworthy then why are you still with him,otherwise dont fret about it, or just use your cell phone.

Call a male friend, arrange to meet somewhere public at a certain time. Go there, and wait.

If your husband shows up, tell him you're getting a divorce.

Alternatively, get a cellphone.

they have equipment to test for this. it may be expensive but it may just be a medal detector. i would go to an electronics store and ask, or search the web for phone tap detectors and begin getting a knowledge of it. it's normally a lil box with an antenna and when you move it around the room, it'll beep where the software is being hidden...

Do you have reason to worry? If not he'll stop when he figures out you aren't being dishonest. Unless you are of course, in which case, yeah....

I have always heard that if your phone is tapped, you'll hear some sort of continuous interference on the line when your using it. Clicking, beeping, humming. I'd look around for strange electronics tucked away anywhere there's a phone (drawers, behind a desk, etc.) Take the batteries out of the phone and see if you notice anything strange inside it. Most phones will beep during you conversation if you are being taped.  Do you have a cell phone?  Change your plan to unlimited calling and then you will not have to worry about it!

If you think he is taping you, there is obviously no trust on his part.  Without trust, there is no relationship.  Perhaps it is time to look for a new BF!

Uh if you are that suspicious and untrusting of your husband, who you are supposed to be able to trust 100%- take a good look at your marriage.
