  1. ask it - they can talk

  2. you cant tell a quaker just by looking at it, you need to get a simple blood test, they are cheap, your vet can prob do it for you  check out http://www.parrotcentral.net/quakers.htm for good info on quakers

  3. You cant tell whether birds are boy or girl, you will have to take him to a breeder or a vet to have a blood test done. I dont think it is very expensive, and it may take about two weeks for them to find out and let you know. Otherwise just give them a unisex name! :D

  4. You can't just by looking or behavior. Even if they lay eggs its not always easy to tell which is doing what since both parents are very involved in the whole process.

The only sure ways are to have one in a cage and the single bird lays an egg (which may or may not ever happen even if you have a female), you have the bird surgically sexed (expensive and invasive), or you do a DNA test.

DNA testing is quick, easy and cheap. You can do it yourself at home and get the results in just a few days. You can clip a nail a little short for a few drops of blood on a test card, or pluck a few chest feathers and send them in. Usually within 2-3 days you get an email, with a certificate coming in the mail later. It's $20 for blood testing, $25 for feather. I personally use http://www.avianbiotech.com .

  5. colour of their beak, they are different colours i cant remember which is which though.

  6. put a red chilly in the cage

If HE eats it ,he is a male

If She eats it , she is a female

  7. i believe only a  test can reveal that , have looked on-line and found this site for you, i think a trip to the vet is necessary if you really want to know.

  8. put a toilet in the cage.If it lifts the seat its male lol

  9. Idk Ask it

  10. It is said that the Quaker or Grey breasted Parakeet ,is difficult to s*x,the only difference is the Female has bigger stronger beak than the male and is a heavier looking bird.

So my advice is to get a good avian vet to test it's droppings, or a blood test.

Don't opt for a surgical test as you could loose your bird.

  11. YOU can't birds are monomorphic which means males and females look the same.  You need to take it to a vet for a blood test.  It only costs about $25.
