ok heres the deal. my best friend, whom i love to death, smoked pot in the past. she said it was just a phase and now shes over it. just recently she told me that shes been getting high a lot lately, and loves it. i am extremely concerned about her health, not to mention her getting arrested, which is why i think i should tell her mom, or someone that can help her about her problem. how can i go about doing this? btw. shes 14. im 16.

  1. you just call her mama and tell her rite away b4 somthin really bad happens 2 her!!!!!!!

  2. There is this site where it can help with you and your friend's problems, may it be bullying, drugs etc. You can go on the "Ask Sam" section and post a letter on whats bothering you. The agony Aunt will reply within a week.

But if you want advice fast, just sign up on the website and go on the 1-2-1 page. You will have an online chat with one of the advisers aviable.

    Here is the page:

I am sorry for what's happening, i wish the best of luck (:

  3. Don't tell her mom. That woud be snitching and it will likely end your friendship. Furthermore, her mother will likely become hysterical and her overreaction will do more harm than the pot will do without having an affect on your friend's behavior in the long run: if she loves it, she's going to use it. You aren't your friend's parent and while it's right to be concerned it really isn't your business to run your friend's life or to decide that you know better than your friend what her choices should be.

I would add that while it can lead to demotivation and cause intellectual impairment, marijuana has no serious health effects and possession of small amounts is a minor crime which in most cases merits only a ticket. I'm not doing this to suggest that it's benign, it isn't, and you're right to stay away from it, but to set your mind at ease. It is, overall, a less harmful drug than alcohol.

  4. you can tell someone if you want, but be prepared to not have her as your friend anymore.
