How can i tell my parents im turning emo?

I try to turn emo slowly so they dont see me becoming emo but they dont like me wearing black or stud belts. my mom says the farthest i can go with shopping at Hot Topic is stud belts. HELP ME! I dont know what to tell them!!!

unfortntely parents dont agree w/ our fashion now-days so unless u turn her emo u cant really change how she feels about it.

Well there is only one way to tell them, and that is to sit them down and explain to them how you feel. It may take a while for them to get used to it, but they will get used to it eventually.

Tell them you are your own person and want to do what you want to do, especially during this confusing time of maturity.  It's your way of expressing yourself!
