How can i tell or show my boyfriend that.?

i miss his romantic side? like when we were in high school he would write me poems and letters.. now he hardly tells me the words i want to hear..

i mean when i tell him .. hes like i don't need to show you i love you ..

you should know already.. AND i do but its nice to hear those wonderful words once in a while or out of the blue..

makes me disappointed. :-(

Don't tell him you miss the attention, because then alarms will be going off in his head wondering what happened.  If you truly miss the words and expressions that made your heart melt when you were younger then you simply need to get over it.  I'm sorry to put it that way but as we grow, we tend to cut out the meaningless hapless romantic (Guys that is, and trust me on this one).  When a guy is really truly interested in you, as a girl, he will do all it takes to get you to chirp your love song back at him.  But as us men are assured we have you under our wing (Never a bad thing) then we begin to calm down a bit, and realize you like us.  I know that sounds like a horrible thing, but it's true.

Look at animals and insects, they put on a show just to attract a female and mate.  After that they tend to just chill out.
