How can i tell the difference between my pompeks puppies fighting and playing?

they're both males but from different parents and one is 2 months older than the other. we've had one for a month before we got the other. we got the other on saturday last. anything else just ask.

  1. Signs of playfulness are a smooth, relaxed posture, ears set down a little, wagging tails, smooth coats, smooth noses.

    Some signs of fear or aggression are a tense posture, back arced a little, ears folded back, stiff tails, bristled coats, wrinkled muzzle.

    If no one's yelping, they're probably okay.

    Other than that, you can't really tell through sound - play-growling can sound pretty viscious.


  2. I have the same situation with 2 shih tzu males. Vet told me that if no one is screaming, they are "bonding", not fighting. So far, it seems to be right.

  3. when the pitch of there growl gets really high and they stiffen up then they are going to fight
