How can i tell what kind of guinea pig i have?

she has a cowlick on the top her head and her fur is smooth but not fluffy or long. i think that she came from pueru but dont the purvian ones have long fur? any way she is still a baby..only like 2 months i think, could her fur still be growing? anyone know a way i could find what kind she is? thanx :)

The 'cowlick' is a crest, so she's probably just an American Crested if her coat is short.

I'm pretty sure it's a crested. Try looking up crested cavys on google images.

You have an American crested. She isn't a long hair.

All guinea pigs originated from Peru, not just Peruvians.

This is actully an english crested guinea pig, american crests are when the crest is white
