How can i tell what kind of vision i have?

the whole 20/20 or whatever number scale?

my presciption box for the contacts has "-2" for both eyes?

  1. It's your prescription for your eye exam. At least both of your eyes are equal but you still need correction if the doctor prescribes it. You have 20/20 which is supposed to be the ideal vision when corrected and by wearing the lenses.


  2. -2 means you're nearsighted

  3. 20/20 vision is the perfect vision, in your case you achieve this with a correction of -2.00 lense.

    -2.00 means that you are short sighted (that is you can see objects close up without a correction but you need a lense to see perfectly in the distance).
