How can i tell what silver is?

also, i may have found some and i was wondering what pricings are on raw silver, or if its even worth trying to find some place that would buy it form me.

Silver does not bring big ticket prices usually...small amounts anyway. tarnish and weight are two big giveaways if it's real silver or not.

Try either a jeweler's or a coin shop to determine if what you have is silver. As far as selling it, depends on what you've got. Bullion, coin, jewelry, etc.
