How can i tell when my budgie is angry?

My budgie makes this wierd noise. Sounds angry but rough and deep. Its like he's yelling his head off.

How can i tell if a budgie is angry or not?

  1. Sometimes they will make a lot of noise if they're trying to copy something or talk.  Other times, if you have the radio or TV on they will be quite disruptive.

    When your budgie is angry you'll hear the same constant sound from him.  Not loud.  In time you'll learn the difference.

    Sometimes they will be exceptionly disruptive when they want attention.

    If they're really squawking and screaming and flying or fluttering about in their cage, they usually are angry and want to get out for excercise.


  2. I have four budgies, and occasionally they make a loud squawking noise. It's hard to describe, but it isn't the usual sweet chirp. More of a fast, annoyed squawking. Generally they make this noise when they hear unusually loud noises.

    Oh, they're calling to me now ;)
