How can i tell when to pick the aprocots from a tree? Can i pick them and they will turn orange inside?

I have an apropcot tree and some of them fall off real orange but the others are green. I was wondering if I can pic them and place them inside or do i have to wait somemore

When they pull away from the stem easily... with barely any effort! You might start to see some on the ground...that's your time to get out there and pick them!  We used to put the green ones in a box, and cover them with a towel to keep them cool, and wait for them to ripen...Hope this helps...
