How can i test the stength of my homemade paper adhesive?

  1. I know this may sound dumb but innovation is very valuable. You could use fishing sinkers to test how strong your adhesive is. Wood is made of paper, right? Glue two small peices of wood together and put a sinker with some fishing line and a swivel attached to the bottom peice. Increase the weight until the two peices separate. You could also use a fishing reel for this purpose by increasing the drag and reeling but you need the manual to the fishing reel to tell you how much drag is increased per click. Remember you want to test how the adhesive works sideways and upside down. You could use some other type of weights but you would need to weigh them somehow with something like a postal scale. And then use string. Sorry it took so long for someone to give you an answer. I was just scanning some older questions. That's where my name came from.
