How can i trace an ip address?

i've been getting awful messages in my truthbox on myspace. so i used a myspace profile tracker, and got their ip address, and the city they live in. problem is, they live in the same city as the majority of my friends. how can i find out who it is through their ip address?

the IP address will only tell you the ISP that owns it.  the ISP will not give out customer information with out a court order.

An easier solution to your problems: set your myspace profile to private and then block the people who post such messages.
