  1. well i  just ran 1 mile today with my school and got 1st i think u should go with a guardian to a track and jog laps and then run them like i did I'm the fastest on the team lol

  2. practice a lot, drink lots of water, and eat healthier

  3. eat well get up every morning and run for an hour remember to drink a lot of water threw out the run and when you get back from the run

  4. I'm still a noob at this jogging/running thing, but here are my two cents:

$0.01 -- start by adding time rather than adding speed... I tried adding speed first and I felt as though I was getting nowhere.  Adding time added distance, which seemed to help me gain endurance.

$0.02 -- don't underestimate how what you eat affects your performance!  Being mindful of this has showed me what a difference it can make -- a lunch of pop and pizza makes me feel sluggish while I'm trying to walk/run/jog, while a sandwich and veggies helps me feel pumped and ready to go.  :D

  5. just keep praciticing i guess. earlier on the mile run this year at my school (we do it every monday) i used to get like 10:00 and 11:00 minutes every time.  now my best is 6 minutes 41 seconds. when you breath in, try to fill your lower lungs instead of your upper lungs.  when you do this your stomach should go in and out instead of your chest going up and down. and don't walk.  you might feel like ur gonna barf but just keep going! (i guess)

  6. I recomend working on your endurance/ distance and not worrying about speed for the first 6 months. Gradually build up our distance with one long run a week- add to THAT run by 10% each week. Don't push for speed ESPECIALLY during your long run!

  7. well, I am in Track, and maybe everyday, you should start doing 100 meter intervals. Then in two weeks increase to 200. Two more weeks, increase it to 400.

  8. umm wow ok, so what u need to do, is obviously stay hydrated, eat like u should NO c**p foods... annd start out slower like 20 minutes a day and slowly everyday add 1 minute and as time goes on u will be able to hold your runs for as long as u can go, i can go about an hour and a half non stop, and when i started out running i was at 15 minutes and to date a run an hour and ahalf a night every night
