I just wondered if it was possible, since even though it is on a tape, there is a computer plug-in. I need to make copies of it, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. You can try the all-in-one DVD rip and video conversion software for Mac users, meet all your needs. It converts DVDs and videos to play on iPod touch/classic/video/nano, iPhone, Zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players, video capable mobile phones, and Pocket P.C., etc.

Also, you can search some other software:

  2. If that "mini cassette" is a miniDV or Digital8 tape, then you need a 4-pin to 6-pin firewire cable to connect the DV port on the computer to the firewire 400 port on the Mac.

ALL macs made in the last ten years or so have a firewire 400 port... the only exception is the new MacBook Air - no firewire port.

With the camcorder connected to your Mac with the firewire cable, and the camcorder in "Play" or "VCR" mode, launch iMovie... then Import the video.

Since you did not tell us which Macintosh or JVC camcorder, it is difficult to provide you with more detailed assistance.

  3. 4 to 6 pin firewire ieee1394

    or a

i.link to firewire cable....(same as above)

  4. you need a firewire cable.
