How can i transfer footage from a mini DV tape without using a mini dv tape camcorder?

I used to own a mini dv tape camcorder but updated to a mini cd one. I found one of my old mini dv tapes and would like to know how can i take what's on the mini dv tape and save it onto a pc, CD etc?

Unless you're going to spend a lot of money on dedicated equipment, you can't!  Sorry, but replacing a MiniDV camera with a DVD one isn't an upgrade!

Go to your local store and have them do it for you. Spend little cash.
