How can i transfer music into my ipod???????

Question

i got some music i want to transfer into my ipod any ideas on how to do it???? i got music i had for a long while...so please anyone? BTW i got a ipod shuffle~~~~***.

Is it on CD's or what? First, get the music into iTunes on your computer. In WAVE format would be fine. Things may be different depending on what version of iTunes you have, but on my computer, when I plug in my iPod, something called "---'s (my name) iPod" pops up on the left near Music Store, and down at the bottom of the screen I can see a panel that wasn't there before, with a button called "Autofill" and a little window with an arrow where I can choose which play list I want to go into the iPod.

I have a permanent "playlist" (in iTunes, go to File and "create new playlist") set up, into which I drag songs for my iPod. When transferring new songs into the iPod, first I make sure they are in this special playlist. Then I plug in the iPod and in the little window at the bottom of iTunes, in the special panel that only appears when my iPod is plugged in, I choose the name of the special play list, and then I click on Autofill. Whatever songs are in that play list, they will also appear in "----'s iPod" and if certain songs were already in my iPod and I remove them from the play list, they will be deleted from the iPod.

While this is happening, up in the iTunes window where you usually see the names of the songs you are playing, you will see a message that the Ipod is "syncing".

Never unplug the iPod until that disappears and tells you it's OK to unplug.

if u have a USB cord use it to connect to the computer it should work if not make sure any computer disks u got with it is is installed completely however, try the USB port to make sure its the right size on ur computer befor putting it in hope this helps
