  2. Once you get past the speed wabbles rest just clicks especially since you have already been surfing for two years. As far as the board height ask your locals what they surf in the area, because this varry's depending on the waves weight and height. Also, I think it's real smart to go more towards the 6'9 scale verses the 5'10. You can always work your way towards a shorter board, but I would do it slowly or it will seem like night and day as far as transition.

  3. What you have to do, is rent boards, such as...

First start with a 7 foot

    Then go to a 6'5"

then keep moving down until you get comfortable.

  4. maybe try a board thats a bit old school like a fish or a super fish or maybe a stubbie....what ever you choose it should have minimal rocker...a nice long and wide flat bottom surface..........u could stick to the longboard...more style...

  5. You are pretty tiny, so depending on how good you have gotten, you can easily go to a short board. Lots of people transition gradually, so going to a 6'9" won't hurt, but depending on the break(s) you surf, 5'9" could be cool also. Check out the other surfers at the break(s) you surf. And, don't trade in your long board, it can always come in handy on smaller days.
