How can i travel as a passenger on commercial ship to brazil from uk?

i would like to sail to brazil. up the amazon. over to chile maybe then sail to newzeland. no time scale at this time but within the next 4 years. i will be alone i want to sail as i dislike long flights. i cannot walk more than half mile and deteriating due to arthritis.

propose yourself to the captain as a cabin boy. explain that you would be grateful if he could ' clear your passage for you '. i'm sure the wily old sea dog will take you ' up the amazon '. like you're asking for. hope this helps

Check with a travel agent for possible avenues of travel.  You may have to take a short flight from Brazil to Chile as the Amazon is not passable through the entire continent.

The travel agent should also know about the necessary vaccinations, visas, and such.  

I would stick with a commercial cruise line since you have some medical/mobility issues.  They are better equipped.
