  1. How old is your daughter?

You should only ice it below the eye and on the eyebrow (not directly on the eye) for no longer than 10 minutes. You can safely ice it for the next 24 hours every 2 hours.

Other than that, there is nothing you can do. You can give her Tylenol if she is in pain.

I would however take her to a doctor if she is 8 or under.

  2. Take her to the hospital for x rays. Even though she is fine it is always better to be safe. If not I would just keep it on ice.

  3. Keep putting ice on it. 10 minutes on, 10 minutes off. Give her some kids' pain relief if she is in pain.

Don't forget to take a photo of her. A story for when she gets older.

Hope the bruising doesn't stay for too long.

    Take Care

Lots of cuddles will also help.

  4. Probably at this late stage - just keep on with ice treatments for a few days

You could try this but I think it might be a little late this time

Apply some petroleum jelly or vaseline to the bruised area - a long time ago when my dad was little - he was looking after one of his siblings who fell out of a pram and got a big egg on the forehead. He did not know what to do as he would have gotten into a lot of trouble with his stepfather and asked a passing lady for advice and this is what she told him to do - it worked and I have used it often on my kids but it is better to do before the bruising comes out - but it will not do any harm to try it now - just make sure it cannot be rubbed into the eye and irritate it
