  2. If your here in aus then check with the transport department in your state, if in another country then check with your equivilant of the transport department...like where ever it is that you go to register your car, they should be able to tell you if the car is registered and who to.

  3. The Auto Trader site has a good editorial on how to spot a fake log book.

    "Fake logbooks will have a different background colour on the ‘Notification of Permanent Export (V5C/4)’ tear off slip.

    This is on the second page of the V5C document, and – if fraudulent – will be mauve on the front and pink on the reverse.

    Legitimate documents should be mauve on both sides."
