  1. just take your history lessons as storytelling lessons. listen to your teacher carefully and jot down the important points as notes. read the lessons a day before the history classes. read your notes and textbooks carefully and you can also take help from your friends who are good in history. it has worked for me, hope it will also work for you.

  2. I wasn't very keen in history either, yet somehow I always seem interested in those Discovery or History channel specials.  By nature we are always curious as to what happened in the past that lead to where we are.  It isn't that you can't understand history, it just hasn't been presented in a way that's interesting to you.  Look for films that relate to what you're studying.  Visit museums, meet historians who are probably better in telling the story of the past.  Look on the Internet for websites that are more engaging.

  3. I slept through all my history classes and just turned in papers i found online....

  4. Is your class taught straight out of a textbook?

    Yes?

Textbooks usually stink. Real history is taught using original resorrces, try using the internet to learn as much as possible about the Mayflower, and the Pilgrims?

    Fun?

Now do you see why you don't do well in a class? Can you imagine Squanto the indian dying of smallpox in a rowboat three years after the big dinner? History is totally wild, history classes in high school can be a total drag.

  5. Always read history book. Don't give up. Always try your best. Trust yourself & god. OK............
