  1. this is reallt a ? that can get complex...

ok ill do a run down of what i know for u

active sync programs install the contect from ur pc to ur phone all its really really doing is verifying the install pack makes sure its all compatable for ur type of phone b4 it tells the pc to send it to ur phone to install

even if its a setup file on ur pc that file almost always contains a .cab the .cab is a collection of the files needed for that game program whatever it can be as simple as 3 files and instuctions for the phone to say hey put that file here that one there that one in this or that folder instead of u manuelly copying and pasting files all over the place in fact the installer from ur pc almost always includes the files for an uninstall

the actual .cab witch is what almost all install files are  basicly should create a uninstall package that in terms makes it show up in ur programs list on ur pocket pc for uninstalling sometimes how ever these  shall we call them ''PACKS'' are not compiled or put together correctly or just plainly dont include a uninstaller  - now keep in mind some things are plainly executable files that are in a folder so those arnt really installed they are just plain files --

--ok  going into it further the installer weather u installed directly from a .cab on ur phone or used active sync will create a shortcut to the program  some times it doesnt just like the uninstaller problem  above.. these short cuts are .ink files redirects to open that program in the phone .....

.....if uve tryed everything and dont want to do the dreaded hard reset to ur phone do these steps ----

in ur phone files directory u will find ''windows'' open it it can take a min for the folders contents to appear from the top there are yellow folders near the end of the list of yellow folders there should be ''programs'' or startup ''' its diff on diff phones in this folder u will find a folder that also has  or says programs open it there ull find a full list of all the shortcuts to all ur phones programs from when u open start programs .... ok if theres a short cut to a program u dont in there any more delete it ,, this will take it out of ur programs list only tho it only deletes that .ink file i was talking about .....

ok now  exit back to ur phones main file browser starting folder and ull need to serach thru my documents , and the programs folders find any thing that has to do with that certain program u dont want and delete its folders and files , sometimes ull find tomb raider but its in a folder named edios cause edios is the company that makes tomb raider keep this in mind if u know ur programs makers name -

after that u can check u start settings-->2nd tab over from the left and add/remove programs make sure the program ur trying to take off isnt listed there b4 you take further steps.... in fact even if u do it that way most the time it leaves reminets of the program such as a folder or maybe a settings file in the programs named folder on ur pocket pc these dont take much space but can become annoying-

2nd thing to do is try to uninstall it using ur active sync now this can vary so i cant give u steps to do that but in ur active sync should display a list of installed programs if they were legitly installed using active sync ull be able to check or uncheck them and as ur phone syncs back up to ur pc they should uninstall that way too ...

if you have to go the hard route - keep in mind some programs alter ur registry keys in ur pocket pc and even after a uninstall or a soft reset u may still have issues  examples are trying to mod a new homescreen on a incompatable device .. u may be forced to eventually do a hard / or ie factory reset -

somtimes if you try to re install that same prograM ull get an error saying the previous install of blah blah will be uninstalled b4 the current one is installed but that in most cases doesnt sound like any help for u but i thought id let u kno that

what kind of phones is it and what are you trying to do im a phone hobbiest and have alot of files and knowledge but most of it is alot of trial and error its taken me about a month to perfectly figure out how to install a hacked ver of tomtom6 for my gps phone fully working in the right lang with voices

ps..... it sounds kinda like ur active sync may have installed ur game and there for ur active sync still thanks ur phone has it try getting active sync to take it off if uve already messed it up by deleteing files u may have deleted somthing that is gunna make active sync not do that for u .. in this case - u may have to manuelly find the active syncs folder on ur home pc find the installed files folder and take ur games out of it and retry to install as if it was the first time -- or uninstalled active sync and try again also keep in mind uninstalling active sync on ur desktop doesnt always mean it removes all associated folders that may contain ur games and other info from when u had active sync --  i personally would try to get ahold of the raw .cab files for the game and copy that .cab file ie the whole installer file to ur ppc and tap it on ur ppc and it should try to open and install ur game with out using active sync or ur pc ... this is actually just what active sync does anyways lol

-- or u can hard reset lose all ur saved and or personal data and reinstall ur programs and the game.....

if ur phone is screwed up u most liklley DO NOT WANT TO TRY TO DO A BACKUP AND REINSTALLED UR PPC FROM A BACKUP  using a backup tool because does this can also copy the screwed up registery keys so if thats ur problem ''a messed up registry key value - when u back up and re install ur backed up ppc system ull be putting all those bunk registry key back into ur registry ---

-----last resort find all ur files games and stuff hard reset and reinstall everything thats the most simple way but is time consuming and ull end up losing everything even ur notes and or music not stored on ur mem card --- i also advise removing ur mem card when doing that ur phone may corrupt ur cards files and that would really suck to have to reformat ur mem card too -----

  2. Isn't there a Remove Software option in the settings?  I have a WM smartphone which has that option and I doubt your phone (which is like a smartphone with touchscreen) doesn't.
