i want to improve the condition of farmers of vasantwadi village in washim district by helping them to increase their productivity .

  1. The best way to help them would be by finding a way to help them get some form of irrigation water.  Drill  wells or bore holes, divert water from rivers or streams, anyway to get them water for their crops.  The desert areas in California are a good model to look at.  They converted dry land that was no good for farming into some of the most productive land in the world by bringing water down from mountain reservoirs through a series of aqueducts.

Have contour marked every one to one and half meter on your land, dig trenches along contour having width of 35-40 CM and depth some 30 CM (Not really very firm – will depend on rainfall), bund the excavated mud/gravel down stream edge of trenches. Sowing should be done between the tranches and on bunds parallel to the contours. Report results next year.
